Wet Suits Info

At Liquid Fit, our custom wetsuits are double blind stitched and double glued.  This produces very strong and long lasting seams.  There are cheaper, inferior methods of constructing a custom wetsuit, but at Liquid Fit we will not compromise our high standards.

Children suits: We understand the importance of exposing youth to diving. Using our Superstretch material, our suits are designed to grow with your child.

Wet Suit Care

Packing: Pull the legs and sleeves in about three quarter of the length, as if you were turning the suit inside out.  Avoid crushing of the suit.

Storing: All suits should be dried and stored on a hanger specially designed for a wet suit.  Hang them out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.  Direct sunlight can shorten the life of your suit.

Cleaning: Thoroughly rinse your suit after the dive. Use cool or warm water, never hot. Never use the washing machine. Check with your local dive shop to purchase a proper cleaner. Never, use laundry detergent on your suit. We suggest  a product called LOC by Amway. (We have no connection with Amway.) To rid your suit of odors, we recommend a couple of caps of an antibacterial mouthwash (Listerine) in your final rinse water. This is also great for your booties. On long dive trips, we carry a small bottle of Febreeze and spritz our suit each evening.

With a little TLC, your suit should give you comfortable protection for many, many dives. Periodically, inspect your suit.  If you have developed any problems, please return it to us for the necessary maintenance.

Testimonials

Dear Liquid Fit:

We wanted to let you know how well your wetsuits have help up under extreme conditions. Most of our diving is performed in coastal springs and submerged cave systems, where we study and document unique ecosystems. In this environment, we regularly encounter narrow rocky entrances that are often covered with barnacles. In addition, many of the cave systems that we study involve pushing gear though tunnels that are too small to wear the gear. These factors lead to extreme wear and tear on the suits.

We have been using our Liquid Fit suits for over a year. Previously, we would just throw away our wet suits after a year, or cut them up to pad scooters and other equipment. They would be too compressed to provide adequate warmth, and worn through at the knees and elbows. Your Liquid Fit suits with the Kevlar knee and elbow pads are still in good shape after a year of use and more than 100 dives, most of which were cave dives. The suits still provide excellent thermal protection even after many dives to depths of 300 feet.

Once again, thank you for producing such a fine product.

Sincerely,

Sherry Garman
